Domaine de la Louvetrie "Hermine d'Or" Muscadet Sèvre et Maine 2009

The Domaine de la Louvetrie "Hermine d'Or" Muscadet Sèvre et Maine 2009 $14 ***/****+ was a steal, a very flavorful, nervy, complete wine.  Pale yellow straw in color, the nose is solid and forceful, with tangy, sappy. lemon oil, blood orange and sulphured peach aromas and good subsidiary mineral notes.  With air the wine is a bit less fruity, with subtle and interesting nut oil notes.  Medium weight, silky, with peppery tanginess and very good juicy/sappy sulphured peach and lemon oil flavors, with wet wool notes, turning mineral in a nice long balanced finish. This is muscular four-square Muscadet of very good quality.  Tasted July 2011.  Where to buy?  Chambers Street Wines
